This policy covers both the PolicyBros website (policybros.in) and the PolicyBros mobile app for Android. Where practices differ, the app is described in its own section below.

Information We Collect

When you use PolicyBros.in, we may collect:

  • Name, phone number, and email when you submit a contact or callback form
  • Age, city, and insurance preferences when you use our recommendation tools
  • Account information if you register as a user or agent
  • Technical data such as your IP address, processed briefly by our hosting and security providers to serve the site and prevent spam and abuse

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide insurance guidance
  • To send you relevant policy information you requested
  • To improve our website and tools

PolicyBros Mobile App

The PolicyBros app for Android is built privacy-first and works offline. It shows no advertisements and does not use analytics or advertising tracking, and it does not access your location or contacts. To keep the app reliable it uses Firebase Crashlytics, which sends an anonymous crash report (device model, OS version, and the technical state of the app at the moment of the crash, never your name or contact details) if the app crashes. Beyond that, it handles the following:

  • Account: if you sign in, we use Google Firebase Authentication to store your email, name, and an account identifier. You can sign up with email or with Google.
  • On-device data: calculator inputs, saved quotes, your branding details (agents), the policies you track, and the customer records you enter (agents) are stored locally on your device by default.
  • Optional cloud backup: agents may choose to back up their customer and policy records to their own private, access-controlled Firebase space so they can restore them on another device. This is off unless you turn it on.
  • Customer records (agents):any client details an agent enters (such as name, phone, email, city, date of birth, and notes) are information the agent controls. Agents are responsible for having their customers' consent; we process this data only to provide the app to the agent.
  • Callback requests: if you ask to be contacted, we collect the name and phone number you provide (plus your city and a message, if you add them) so an agent can reach you.
  • Reminders: premium-due reminders are scheduled and shown on your device only.
  • Photos: if you add a logo or signature to a branded quote, the image is read from your device and stays on your device. We do not upload it.

The app shows no advertisements. The only device permissions it requests are internet access and, optionally, notifications (for reminders) and photo access (for branding images).

Data Storage

Website submissions and any app data you sync are stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore) with strict access controls. Only authorized personnel can access your personal information. App data is local-first: most of it stays on your device, and cloud backup is optional and opt-in.

Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your account and the data linked to it yourself, at any time:

  • In the app:More > Delete account removes your sign-in, your synced cloud data, and the app's local data in one step.
  • On the web: visit our account deletion page, sign in, and confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. Data stored only on your device is removed when you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.

Your Rights

You can also request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data we hold (including callback requests, which are not tied to an account) via our contact form; we will complete the request within 30 days.

Cookies & Analytics

The website currently loads no third-party analytics or advertising scripts. Should we introduce them, they will activate only after you consent through the cookie banner, and this policy and the cookie policy will be updated first. The PolicyBros app uses no analytics, cookies, or advertising either way.
